7 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife Tour
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you’ll be warmly greeted by your safari guide. After a briefing, you’ll be transferred to your hotel to relax after your flight. Depending on your arrival time, optional activities include visiting the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or watching the sunset over Lake Victoria.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – The Primate Capital
After breakfast, begin your journey west toward Kibale Forest National Park, often called the “Primate Capital of the World.” The drive passes through lush countryside, tea plantations, and crater lakes, offering a taste of Uganda’s scenic diversity. Arrive in the afternoon and unwind at your lodge nestled in the rainforest.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
Wake up early for your first primate encounter — chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. Walk beneath the dense canopy with your ranger guide as you listen for the calls and rustling of chimps. Once you find them, spend an hour observing their fascinating behavior — grooming, playing, and swinging through the trees.
In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation area that offers a rewarding nature walk filled with birds, butterflies, and smaller primate species such as red colobus and vervet monkeys.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive south through the rolling foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular wildlife reserve. En route, enjoy a stop at the equator line for photos. Arrive in the park for an afternoon game drive across the Kasenyi plains, where elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes graze, while lions wait patiently for their next meal.

Day 5: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Set out early for a sunrise game drive through the Kasenyi plains. Watch as the golden light spills over the savannah and animals emerge to feed. Expect to spot Uganda kobs, waterbucks, lions, and possibly leopards.
In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. The channel teems with hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and hundreds of bird species — making it a photographer’s dream.

Day 6: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Home of the Gorillas
After breakfast, travel south through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions often spotted lounging in fig trees. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of the oldest rainforests in Africa and home to roughly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Arrive at your lodge perched on the forest edge and prepare for tomorrow’s unforgettable experience.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking Experience & Return to Entebbe
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing before embarking on your gorilla trekking adventure. Hike through thick vegetation and misty ridges with your ranger guide in search of a gorilla family. Once found, you’ll spend an hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, play, and interact — a life-changing wildlife experience.
After the trek, begin your return journey to Entebbe or take a flight option if available. Depending on your schedule, you’ll arrive in the evening, marking the end of your unforgettable 7-day Uganda primate and wildlife journey.
