Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. Drive through Kenya’s scenic highlands, descending the Great Rift Valley with stunning views of the escarpment and farmlands. Arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch at your lodge.

In the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive across the vast plains — the golden light revealing herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes, along with predators like lions and cheetahs beginning their evening hunt. Return to your lodge for dinner as you listen to the distant calls of the wild.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

Rise early for a full-day exploration of the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most wildlife-rich ecosystem. With picnic lunch in hand, venture deep into the reserve where the drama of nature unfolds — from powerful lion prides to graceful cheetahs and immense elephant herds crossing the plains.

If traveling between July and October, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the world’s most breathtaking spectacles as millions of wildebeests and zebras cross the Mara River. Visit the Mara River crossing points to observe crocodiles lying in wait and hippos basking in the shallows.

Later, return to your lodge for relaxation or an optional evening Maasai cultural visit, where you’ll meet the local Maasai community and learn about their traditions, dance, and way of life.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi

Arrive in the late afternoon, marking the end of your Masai Mara Express Safari.
