5 Days Gorilla & White-Water Rafting Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your safari guide will meet and brief you before you set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The journey takes you through lush countryside, banana plantations, and rolling hills. Stop at the Equator line for photo moments and a short break. Arrive at your lodge in Bwindi later in the evening, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the rainforest.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest

Today marks the highlight of your safari — meeting the mountain gorillas in their natural home. After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing before setting off into the misty forest with experienced ranger guides. The trek may last from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location, but every step through the thick foliage is rewarded when you find them.

Spend an hour observing their movements — the powerful silverback leading his family, mothers grooming infants, and juveniles playing in the vines. This profound moment will connect you deeply to nature’s most intelligent creatures. Return to your lodge for relaxation and an optional evening community walk to meet the local Batwa people.

Day 3: Return to Kampala / Overnight in Entebbe

After breakfast, bid farewell to the forest and begin your drive back toward central Uganda. Enjoy scenic views of the Kigezi Highlands, tea plantations, and small towns along the way. Arrive in Entebbe or Kampala in the evening for a restful night as you prepare for the next day’s adventure on the Nile.

Day 4: Transfer to Jinja – The Adventure Capital of East Africa

After breakfast, drive east to Jinja, located where the River Nile begins its long journey to the Mediterranean Sea. En route, pass through Mabira Forest and sugarcane plantations. Upon arrival, you’ll visit the Source of the Nile before preparing for your adrenaline-packed white-water rafting experience. The rest of the day is free to relax along the Nile River at your lodge, watching the sunset over the calm waters.

Day 5: Full-Day White-Water Rafting & Departure

After an early breakfast, head to the rafting base for a safety briefing and gear up for a full-day white-water rafting adventure. The combination of roaring rapids, tropical sunshine, and breathtaking scenery makes this one of Africa’s top adventure experiences.
